| In 1984 while shopping at Selfridges in London,
I saw an indoor suntanning canopy that might
be great for my Atlanta home so I could maintain
my "Miami Tan" when not at my condo
in Coconut Grove. Long story short, my creative
entrepreneurial brain liked the product idea
but not the clunky looking 110+ pound design.
In 1985 I introduced ProTan, a 6 foot long
22 pound portable home system I created and
manufactured in my Hialeah, Florida factory.
It was an instant success at the very first
trade show introduction. Bloomingdales, Macy's,
Sams Club and many mailorder catalogs sold
ProTan Home Sunsystems. Unfortunately, 6
foot long fluorescent bulbs are very fragile
and were frequently broken during shipping.
I closed that biz in 1992. Today, tiny LED lamps embedded in flexible silicone has eliminated all breakage and fluorescent bulb heat. More importantly, Photodermatology research and development with LED light has resulted in colors of light that can reverse aging skin (wrinkles or enlarged pores), stimulate collagen production, correct pimentation, erase acne scars and promote skin health resulting in a more youthful appearance.. Using the "Photon" knowledge I gained while working with the FDA and the renowned Dr. Frederick Urbach on the creation of ProTan, I began researching and testing a wide variety of today's LED therapy devices. I found "pen-sized" units, handheld "wands" , plastic canopies that fit over your head and flexible units that can be used on many body parts. The devices I tested range in price from $15 to the $11,950 ENEO Totale. NONE of the devices I tested work better than the MAGIC7SKIN Model 2404 that I am now presenting to the world.
